How to Reduce Battery Drain on an Android: 5 Steps

Dealing with battery drain on your Droid can be a serious pain. Sometimes you feel like you might as well just leave it plugged into the wall. But wait, isn't a Droid supposed to be a mobile phone: emphasis on the mobile? It is. Fortunately, there are steps you can take to turn your immobile phone back into a mobile phone, as it should be.
STEPS

1
PRESS THE MENU BUTTON IN ANDROID.

2
SELECT "SYSTEM SETTINGS" FROM THE OPTIONS LISTED THERE.

3
CLICK ON THE "DISPLAY" OPTION UNDER WHERE IT SAYS "SETTINGS."

4
SELECT THE "BRIGHTNESS" OPTION FROM THE LIST ON THE NEW SCREEN.

5
UNCHECK THE "AUTO" OPTION. Now you can change your Droid's brightness setting, which can save a lot of power if you set it dimmer. You can use your finger to move the slider right or left to raise or lower the brightness setting. You can also press Automatic Brightness to hand brightness control over to the Droid, which will adjust it based on ambient light.
