STEPS

1
OPEN SETTINGS. From your home screen (the default location), tap the Settings icon—the one with the gray gears—to open the Settings control panel. If you don't see your Settings app, swipe the screen to the left until you reach the Search page. Enter "settings" in the search field, then tap on the Settings icon in the results.

2
OPEN THE GENERAL CONTROL PANEL. Tap on the General button. This will open the General control panel, which will let you set up a number of functions including enabling the Battery display.
3
TAP "USAGE." This will open up a control panel that will show your battery usage, as well as list how much space your apps use, how much iCloud storage you are using, and more.
4
ENABLE BATTERY PERCENTAGE. Scroll down until you see the Battery Usage section. Tap the On/Off toggle switch to the right of Battery Percentage, so that it is On. Your battery percentage should now be displayed next to the battery icon at the top right of your screen.[1] TIPS
This method also works with the iPod Touch and the iPad
WARNINGS
If you notice your battery percentage dropping rapidly, your battery may need replacing.
