How to Make iPhone Flash when Receiving a Text: 5 Steps

Want your iPhone to flash when it notifies you of a new text message? Make sure that you do not have Airport Mode or Do Not Disturb turned on. If your phone still isn't lighting up when you receive texts, follow the steps in this article.

TAP THE SETTINGS APP FROM YOUR IPHONE\'S HOME SCREEN.

TAP "NOTIFICATIONS" TO YOUR SETTINGS ABOUT WHICH APPS CAN NOTIFY YOU.
In iOS 7, this bar is labelled "Notification Center".

SCROLL DOWN AND TAP "MESSAGES."

MAKE SURE THAT "NOTIFICATION CENTER" IS TURNED ON.
Under "Alert Style," make sure either Banners or Alerts is selected.


Turn "Badge App Icon" on.


Turn "View in Lock Screen" on.
